Hardwood is naturally grown and beautiful and our domestic hardwood partners are also environmentally responsible by replanting what they harvest. While the deconstruction of the worlds tropical forest goes unchecked, America’s hardwood forest are flourishing, almost doubling in fact to what they were 50 years ago. The all natural process for achieving unique designs and colors are completely free of any stains or solvents making it free of emissions and waste that are considered harmful to the planet. Using responsibly harvested and sustainable hardwoods means zero impact on the world’s disappearing rainforests.

Bamboo is a fast growing grass. It re-grows in 6 years and can be harvested multiple times. It’s leafy canopy releases 35 percent more oxygen than hardwood forests. Bamboo is a renewable resource that replenishes quickly and effortlessly. It grows in large quantities with little damage to the supply of bamboo.

Cork is harvested on a sustainable basis by the striping of bark from the Cork Oak tree which does not harm the tree in any way and can be harvested more than 20 times per tree . It is environmentally sustainable and recyclable.

Stone flooring (including marble, granite and slate)is one of the most beautiful and environmentally friendly of all flooring materials. It has no adverse effect on internal air quality and satisfies most environmental criteria, readily available, uses little energy to produce, gives off no emissions in production, durable and can be recycled again and again. If discarded it won’t cause pollution.

Ceramic Tiles (clay) exists in abundance and it’s processing is simple and clean. It’s natural with some recycled content, is durable, and can be recycled and used again.

Linoleum is made from natural products such as rosin, linseed oil, limestone and cork or wood dust. It is very durable and long lasting. When harvested or extracted it use little energy.
